1/12/22 –  Back on the Road

January 12 ,2012

Greetings Phamily and Phriends!

Well, 2012 is here and after an uplifting goodbye to 2011 with our Colorado New years tour, we are ready to charge into the new year. After 2 inspired nights at our old haunt, the Fox theater in Boulder, I was on the plane New Year’s day with my fiancée headed to Costa Rica where I played my first show in central America to benefit the public schools of Nosara and Ostinol. Working with our friends Erik and Sarah Antonsen and www.surfingnosara.com were able to raise $4000 and a sold out show to complete bathrooms and a computer lab for 2 schools. Good work!

Also in Costa Rica I recorded my good musician friend Brendan O’Hara at the house and ended up with an amazing live performance recording of Brendan’s latest material. I think he’s really got a good thing going so if you’re in South FLA or NYC keep an ear out for this rising star.

Now I’m on the plane from Boston to Pittsburgh and I feel like I’m gonna burst from excitement to hit the road again. Pittsburgh represents every time and it’s a blessing to start the tour off with a sold out show at one of my favorite venues, Mr Smalls. Thank you kindly.

We are pleased to have our new friend Kristi Lee (joining us on the tour. Kristi is an amazing soul singer from the dirty south so please come early to see her rootsy, inspired show.

The winter tour sees us returning to our roots as we hit the road as a raw power trio. Timo Shanko (upright bass) and Jeffrey Clemens aka the Houseman @jeffreyclemens will be joining me nightly as we traverse this beautiful land from coast to coast. We will continue to perform many tunes from our latest release Fixin to Die as well as continuing to explore the roots of our music with plenty of delta blues and old school Hip Hop and hits?! Don’t worry you’re gonna get what you want every night!! Please send me any requests for songs to my twitter @glove and we will do our best to make y’all happy. Also make sure you tune into twitter daily for ticket giveaways.

What are your new years resolutions? Mine are to be the best father I can be and make a hit record that will shake and move you. Fixin to Die has inspired me to continue searching the roots of the Delta Blues and my new record will be heavily doused with new originals inspired by the great bluesmen from Bukka White, Robert Johnson and John Hammond. Can you dig it!?!

Well my ears are starting to pop so I’m gonna wrap this up now.

Thanks for stopping by,

your friend,

G. Love
